Viva Panama - USA is a non-profit organization based in Jacksonville, Florida. Our members are dedicated to sharing the rich folklore of the country of Panama through traditional dance and costumes, music, and education. We come from a diverse background, but come together to share a glimpse of the beautiful culture.

The group was founded in 2008 under the direction of the late Dr. Mitzie Murrill. She along with her husband, John, had the vision that we carry on to date. The organization became a nonprofit in 2021

Our volunteer staff provides training in traditional dance and folklore, empowering dancers to share their knowledge and skills in events throughout the area .
